Speakers Announced for NCLGS Winter Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, January 3-6

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.: The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) has attracted an impressive roster of professionals who will participate in and speak at the four-day conference, which takes place January 3-6 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina.

The event will bring together gaming executives, legislators, regulators, and members of the media to examine the trends, challenges, and critical issues facing the gaming industry. More than 50 gaming professionals and elected officials will participate as speakers throughout the conference.


The winter meeting will mark an important milestone for NCLGS as 25 states have now reached Full Member State status, with the most recent additions of Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

The Board of Directors of NCLGS is delighted to include two off-site events. 1S/T Technology will sponsor an “Afternoon at the Races” at the historic Gulfstream Park on the afternoon of January 5, and the world-famous Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will host a reception to close out the conference on the afternoon of January 6.


The four-day conference will include 12 sessions chaired by legislative leaders from around the country. Included in the program will be opening addresses by distinguished VIPs, a keynote luncheon, two evening networking receptions and two off-site events. Once again, the Sports Betting Regulators Association (SBRA) will be co-locating at NCLGS. SBRA will host a two-hour session open to all attendees prior to the opening reception on January 3.


NCLGS, founded more than a quarter-century ago, is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues related to gaming. NCLGS neither promotes nor opposes gaming but is focused on proper regulation and promoting best practices in the governance of this important industry.
