We are excited to welcome an outstanding group of leaders to discuss the large and rapidly growing economic contribution of Latinos on April 17 in the Oxnard College Performing Arts Center.
Speakers include:
- David Hayes-Bautista, PhD - Director of the Center for the Study of Latino Health & Culture at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
- Matthew Fienup, PhD - Executive Director of the Center for Economic Research & Forecasting at California Lutheran University.
A panel discussion following the speakers will be moderated by Jorge Mercado, Staff Writer for the Pacific Coast Business Times. He will be joined by a group of community and business leaders who will share how they're seeing the impact on a local level:
- Rebecca Evans - Executive Director of the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County;
- Dr. Cesar Morales - Superintendent of Schools for the Ventura County Office of Education;
- Dr. Gagan Pawar - Chief Executive Officer for Clinicas de Camino Real;
- Miguel Noriega - Financial Advisor at Edward Jones.
Oxnard College and the OC Foundation acknowledge the event's promotional sponsors, the West Ventura County Business Alliance and the Pacific Coast Business Times.
The entire community is invited to attend the event. Registration is open.
