ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

Join us as we explore the state of U.S. cyber preparedness from a matrixed Team perspective - CYBERCOM, DoD, Military Services, DHS, Security Agencies, Intel, Federal Civilian Organizations, and the Private Sector, all working together.  We will focus on efforts that can close the Gaps to Coordination, Collaboration, Information Sharing, and Active Threat Deterrence across agencies, domains, and private owners of U.S. infrastructure.

We will have Keynotes from:
  • CYBERCOM;
  • DoD
  • DHS;
  • EOP
Symposium panels will include:
  • CISOs on Understanding our Cyber Adversaries; and,
  • A CYBERCOM SITREP with Component Commands, Service & Combatant Command/Combat Agency Reps
And, we have asked all of our speakers to comment on their strategic recommendations to:
  • Arm the Cyber Workforce;
  • Improve cyber Knowledge Management across organizations; and,
  • Update Policy & Budget Resources needed to match the level of threat posed by potential future cyber attacks.
We plan to close the day with a dynamic conversation on how USCYBERCOM plans to further achieve integration between the Cyber Component Commands in the five Armed Services, and the new Joint Cyber Center (JCC) in each COCOM.  By ordering the stand-up of a CYBERCOM belly-button in each Unified Command, the Secretary of Defense has clearly highlighted the need to better coordinate Cyber Operations - from C2 straight down to the tactical environment.

600+ of your colleagues are expected to turn out for the The 4th Annual Cybersecurity Symposium.  In fact, a robust community is already growing-up for year-round discussions and activities after the event - our "Cross-Agency Defense and Security Cyber Working Group".  February 22 will be both a continuation and a catalyst for our conversations as a community.  You can simply get caught up and engage for a day, or stay connected for the entire next year - all from the platform of the February 22nd Cyber Symposium.

As with past AFCEA DC Conferences, the 4th Annual Cyber Symposium will prove to be a valuable exchange between the military, civilian agencies, and the contractor community - around a relevant and fast-moving topic, with Federal resources behind the fight.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of the conversation as an attendee or sponsor of this important annual event.
