There is Power in the Spoken Word...
"The blessings of His promises activated by our Words..."

When God created the universe He spoke it into existence. He said, "Let there be light..." John wrote "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Jesus was the Word. There is significance to the parallel of Jesus, the Word, and the power of the spoken word. Jesus gave us as believers all authority to do all the things that he did. The bible tells us repeatedly in old and new testaments about the power of the tongue and the things we say. Often warnings about saying negative things and making vows and speaking curses. Why, because there is power in the spoken word. God made it so. Jesus confirmed it while on earth and it has been an amazing journey that I have been on in my life of seeing the affects of speaking blessings into a person's life.
One of the Greek definitions of the verb "To Bless" is: "When I bless someone by name I am releasing the forces of heaven into that person's life, to change their character and change their destiny, so that they may receive all the fullness of the Father's blessings." So when I bless someone, it has nothing to do with me or my power but all about the power of the Way, the Truth, the Life which comes from the Word which is I am speaking into a person.
In John 17:17 Jesus says, "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified." His death not only brought salvation but another meaning of the Greek word is to consecrate or set apart for God's service. It was a word used in the old testament for consecrating the priests. Jesus uses it to consecrate us as believers and commission us into the Father's Kingdom work. So the question is...Can we bless people and do we have the authority to bless people? The answer is Absolutely! Speak blessings into people, over people and families and work places and churches and where ever the Holy Spirit would lead you to pray.
There is POWER in the Spoken WORD!

"Leah was unattractive, unwanted and unloved by her husband..."
But the Lord saw Leah's pain...

In this Bible story in Genesis, Jacob and his first wife Leah were married because of a custom/law and not because Jacob's love for her.  For Leah was older and unattractive.  Her sister, Rachel, was beautiful and Jacob loved her very much. La ban, the girl's father, tricked Jacob into marrying Leah and Rachel was relegated  to becoming his second wife.
Throughout the story Leah felt unattractive, unwanted and unloved by Jacob and believed that her only source of fulfillment would come from her giving Jacob the children that he wanted. The bible says that God saw her pain and opened her womb to begin having many children. Rachel, on the other hand, could not bare children. The more Leah would strive to have her husband love her and accept her, the more she felt rejected. Can you imagine the unfulfillment in life and the loneliness she must have felt being married to a man that she thought hated her and loved someone else. As Rachel began to have children Leah became jealous of Rachel. Leah's concept of fulfillment was based on attaining Jacob's love, and now her problem was worsening. Not only was she unattractive to Jacob, but also her jealousies were adding to her lack of loveliness.

Like this story of Leah, many women today grow up in an environment or family where a "Leah Spirit" attacks them and continually tells them they are unattractive, unwanted and unloved.  A woman like this will have a lot of judgment and jealousy affecting their life. They will constantly require reinforcements and demand affirmations that they are loved and wanted. But the truth is you cannot make another person love you.

In fact, according to Frangipane in the book, I will Be Found by You: "the more pressure you place upon on others to accept you, the more likely they are to reject you instead... Three times we read in this story that she would bear Jacob a son and three times she was rejected and unfulfilled. The Lord saw and heard that Leah was unloved. He saw her affliction. Through all her striving for Jacob and her disappointments with her marital relationship... the Lord was tenderly wooing Leah to himself.

As Leah became pregnant a fourth time, a miracle of grace occurred within her. She gradually became aware that , while she had not been the focus of her husband's love, she was loved by God. And as the fourth pregnancy drew near to completion, she drew nearer and nearer to God. She became a worshipper of the Almighty. And this time as she gave birth to a son she said, "this time I will praise the Lord." She  named her son Judah, which means "praise". And it was from the tribe of Judah that Christ was born! Leah had an eternal destiny but couldn't see that until she became a worshipper of God not man.

Leah had been seeking self-fulfillment and found only heartache and pain. But as she became a worshipper of God, she entered life's highest fulfillment: she began to please God. It was right there that her human soul truly began to change and enter into God's stronghold. As she found fulfillment in God, He began to remove from her the jealousies, insecurities and heartaches that life had conveyed to her."
A true inner beauty started growing in Leah; she became a woman at "REST".

It is the power of God's love and experiencing it that will free a person from the "Leah Spirit" and bring them into a place of rest. It's not about self fulfillment, self help, classes or books; we simply need to discover Father God and his unconditional love for us. We need to experience the Father's touch. As we praise Him and walk with Him, the disappointments and pain of life begin to fall off of us like a washing in a noon day shower.  Then truly we can experience the truth of Romans 8:28, "God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God..."
May the Lord set you free and bring you into the courtrooms of His Praise and Grace where you will truly find  "His Rest"
