SpecMate V1.3 UPDATE IS COMING
SpecMate V1.2 was launched this fall to all representatives, enabling you to quickly design and budget custom Innovent equipment in the design phase of a project. The promise of SpecMate is in its speed…no longer do you need to wait for the factory to generate a design as you work with consulting engineers to drive basis of design work.
In October, we will be updating SpecMate to V1.3, which will include:
  • Updated controls offering
  • Improved design documents 
  • Expanded design options
  • General improvements and bug fixes

SpecMate SUCCESS
Steve Welch from Trane Oregon had an application that needed two small 2,000 CFM Dedicated Outdoor Air units.

These units will serve bathrooms so Aluminum Plate heat exchangers were ideal to avoid cross-contamination of the supply airstream. Because they were so small, he didn’t think of Innovent nor want to bother Innovent application engineers with such a small project.

He then attempted to select another manufacturer's cataloged units using their selection program. Very painful, taking days without even getting a valid factory controls package. Unfortunately, there was a ridiculous lead time on the catalog brand's Aluminum Plate heat exchangers.
“The width I needed was an easy parameter to input from the get-go, and I was able to shave the length down by adjusting door widths and openings, again, easily, intuitively, & without errors.”
He then decided he would contact Steve Grandelis, his sales manager at Innovent, to see if he was interested in taking a shot at a selection/pricing. Steve informed him that SpecMate software did go that small. Steve then logged into SpecMate and got a selection and pricing in less than 30 minutes, complete with a full factory controls package and no errors. Innovent’s lead time was substantially better, and our pricing was close. 

Using SpecMate allowed Steve to respond very quickly to the owner’s request for sizes, performance, and budget.

Did you know you can change the shipping address for your order on RepNet? As long as the ship date is more than one week out, sales reps can make this change themselves. We understand that the actual shipping address can be unknown at the time of order release or can change as the project evolves. However, we don’t have the visibility that you have to those changes, so we need your help to capture the right information for your order!
