The American Association of People with Disabilities needs your help to protect Medicaid.

The recently passed budget proposed 880 billion dollars in Medicaid cuts over the next several years which will greatly impact our disability community. Medicaid cuts will lead to reductions in benefits and services for those who rely on Medicaid for home- and community-based services (HCBS), employment supports, and more.

Our Senators and Representatives need to hear from YOU sharing your story on how cuts to Medicaid will hurt individuals with disabilities!

 ODOT PROJECT SEEKING PARTICIPANTS 

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking Blind or low vision participants to test new pedestrian detectable devices. 

What: ODOT is developing new alternative detectable devices along sidewalks and at intersections. 

Who: We are seeking persons from the blind and low vision communities with diverse abilities that would like to test new potential products and provide feedback. 

When: Spring 2025, (April or May). 

Time: 4-8 hours. 

Where: 885 Airport Road SE, Salem, OR near the Intersection of Airport Road SE and State Street. 

You may be eligible for the Equitable Engagement Compensation Program and transportation.
