STUDENT WALKOUT & SOLEMN BELL RINGING
THIS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2018
Students across the country are planning to walk out of class in support of the national movement against gun violence, and to honor those killed in the Parkland, FL, high school shooting. The walkout will take place on Wednesday, March 14, beginning at 10:00 AM and will last for 17 minutes in remembrance of the 17 people who died.

addressed to parents and students, the Hawai'i Department of Education advised schools to designate a walkout area for those who want to participate, supporting "students' Constitutional rights to a peaceful assembly and free expression."
Solemn Bell Ringing
Fr. David Gierlach, Rector of St. Elizabeth's, is encouraging all churches to join in solidarity with the student walkout, with a solemn bell ringing during the slated time of 10:00 AM-10:17 AM.

Please submit the names of those persons traveling to our Capitol by Wednesday, March 15,
. A prayer list will then be distributed for churches to include in their Sunday service on March 18.
