Special Announcement!

There has been a change to the scheduled dates for the Oregon Morgan Classic in 2017!  The new dates are June 21-24, 2017.  It will still be held at the Oregon Horse Center in Eugene Oregon.  We thank Tim Arcuri and Major DeFoe’s staff for working with us to secure this date.  Originally we were told this date was not available until 2018.  The opportunity to acquire this timeslot was given to MHAO in early December with the caveat that another group was requesting the same dates with a multi-year contract.  MHAO took the opportunity to make the change starting in 2017.  We had a lot of hurdles to clear in a short period of time to make it happen and before we could announce it to you.

This date gives us a better position in the Morgan show schedule for this area.  It is late enough in June so that all the schools will be out for the summer.  In making this decision we listened to our membership who stated that this date in June was preferable to one in mid-July. 

Along with celebrating the Oregon Morgan Classic being a Regional show in partnership with Far West, this year we will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of a Regional Morgan show in the Northwest.   It will be the last “Regional” as we know it since AMHA has announced it will be going to a “star show system” for the future.  Our goal is to make this a very special and unique event for everyone – the BEST EVER.
