Dear Lakeway Church Family,
If you have been like me, your eyes have been glued to the images of the devastation from Hurricane Harvey. As things have unfolded along the gulf coast we have been making plans to respond to the devastation. As I mentioned in worship on Sunday, there are three stages to any disaster.
---The first week after a disaster where people are
rescued from harms way.
---The first months after a disaster where people return to their homes, streets are cleared, electricity and water
are restored and life resumes.
---the months to years after a disaster where
The Lakeway Church is ministry partner with several non-profits that work to address each of these stages: Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), Christian Compassion Center (C3) and World Vision. These agencies will be a conduit for The Lakeway Church response. In addition, we are working together with all the Lake Travis churches
to coordinate our efforts.
How can you help?
There are several ways that you can help.
If you want to donate to the on the ground work of relief through The Lakeway Church you can write a check to The Lakeway Church.
Put "Harvey" in the memo.
You may drop off

We will need volunteers to deliver the items above to the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) warehouse. Please contact Judy email@example.com 512-261-6331
if you are willing to help in this way.
ADRN needs people to work the call center and at their warehouse. You can access this opportunity online at
In the weeks and months to come we will have additional opportunities to serve. For now please be praying for the people on the gulf coast and especially for the first responders.
Thank you for being a church committed to caring in Jesus Name,
