Dear ICHS Community,

It is with great pleasure that we announce Mr. Dale Fava as the Director of Athletics at Immaculate Conception High School as of July 1. Mr. Fava’s journey began in September 2017 when he joined our school as a teacher. He has taught Mathematics, Business and coached wrestling and track. His enthusiasm for strengthening our athletics program made him the ideal candidate who will contribute to the success and growth of our program.

Mr. Fava exclaimed, “I am very excited to start my new position as the Director of Athletics. My passion is athletics and connecting real life situations with sports. Throughout my high school and college career, I had teachers and coaches who inspired me to become the best person I could be. This led me to pursue teaching and coaching as a career.”
At ICHS our student- athletes grow and learn many life skills throughout the year including the essence of teamwork, time management, hard work, dedication, and commitment. Mr. Fava added, “I will work closely with our coaches to help build our student-athletes academically, athletically, and to help them earn scholarships to college. Our coaches will build champions and championships will follow. I look forward to expanding our sports programs and striving for excellence. Go Blue Wolves!!!”
We also want to wish Mr. Chris Ward success in all his future endeavors. For the past 13 years, he has been a significant part of our school as a teacher and a coach. His dedication and commitment to our school and to our students has been remarkable and he will be truly missed.

Mr. Ward shared, “I will be moving on to another chapter of my life after 13 memorable years at ICHS. While I am excited about what waits for me in my new role, I am saddened to say goodbye to the school that took a chance on me when I switched careers just a few years out of college. ICHS has provided a variety of experiences and roles for me over the years as a teacher, a department chair, and finally as an athletic director. I have learned and grown so much and am grateful for all of the opportunities our administration and the Felician Sisters have provided for me. To my students - I want to thank you especially. Our shared moments together are some of my most cherished memories at Immaculate Conception. I am blessed to know you all. Once a Blue Wolf, Always a Blue Wolf!”

The ICHS Administration is excited that Mr. Fava will lead initiatives that will enhance our student-athletes’ academic success and their personal development.

Peace and all good,

Joseph R. Azzolino
