OCBC CELEBRATES OC'S RESILIENCY AT ITS
2021 ANNUAL DINNER AND BOARD INSTALLATION
Last night, over 400 business executives, elected officials, and academic leaders celebrated a “Resilient OC” at OCBC's 2021 Annual Dinner and Installation of Board. Jena Jensen, Chief Government Relations Officer of CHOC, was sworn in as Chair of OCBC's Board of Directors.

The lively event chat among guests also featured OC elected leaders, including The Honorable Katie Porter, representing CA's 45 Congressional District, as well as The Honorable Lou Correa, CA 46 Congressional District, who delivered an inspiring flag salute, and Rabbi Richard Steinberg of Congregation Shir Ha-Maalot setting the night’s tone with a reflective invocation and call to action for leaders.

Lucy Dunn, President and CEO, Orange County Business Council, served as emcee for the evening capped with a special keynote presentation from Captain "Sully" Sullenberger, who urged Orange County leaders to embrace their resiliency and work to meet the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead in 2021. His heroic, personal story included reflections and inspiration to help OC leaders move forward during the challenging year ahead.
With an eye towards the opportunities to come in 2021, Jena Jensen, Chief Government Affairs Officer, CHOC, was installed as OCBC's 2021 Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. Her inspiring remarks perfectly met the moment, highlighting the ability of all those in attendance to find the source of their own resiliency and embrace collaboration as a means of overcoming the challenges the region currently faces.
Outgoing Chair Joe Hensley was honored for his fantastic leadership in 2020 under the theme "Infinite Possibilities and Innovative Solutions."
Many of the local heroes who led Orange County Business Council through 2020 were thanked and acknowledged during the event. Richard Porras was awarded the Thomas D. Phelps Leadership Award for his extraordinary service to OCBC and Orange County, and his dedication to advancing the education of the next generation.
