CREATE : CNG : COMMUNITY: Of all the 21st-century skills, our CNG students will probably benefit most from developing a creative mindset and a well-refined imagination. Fully aligned with our school vision, our children receive a holistic education in mind, body, and character not as ends in themselves but rather toward the ultimate objective of creating leaders who are driven to serve their communities and our greater society.
 
Related to this key principle, Steve Jobs makes the following distinction of the biggest difference-maker as we consider the education of our children before they reach adulthood: "Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." As we joined together to create community this week through creative activities, please take a look at the results by clicking this  link and enjoying the overall experience. We invite you to continue encouraging your children to keep CREATING! One more challenge yet for tomorrow, so let's get creative!
 
Caring for Our Community: Given the potential impact of Covid-19 on the economic situation in this country as well as worldwide, CNG will continue to look for ways to support our parent community. Understanding the impact the COVID-19 crisis has generated on the economy thus far, the Board Finance Committee and Administration have taken the following steps to support the payment process for parents: 
  • No interest will be charged for late payments corresponding to the last billing cycle only. 
  • A surcharge-free credit card payment system has now been implemented, so parents can use that form of payment for the registration process. This credit card option will be available starting Saturday, April 11th. 
  • We have four different card payment options: VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, and DINERS, and we are waiving the surcharge fee for this payment cycle.
  • Please know that a 2.5% surcharge will be added for subsequent credit card payments in the future.

Extension of Distance Learning by the Government Until May 31st: Based on the most recent announcement by the Ministry of Education and President, all private schools must continue offering online learning through the end of May. At that time, we will review and evaluate the situation and any potential governmental requirements or restrictions. We continue to hope and plan for the optimal option of concluding the school year back on campus to allow for end-of-year events such as graduation and moving-up ceremonies as well as to provide closure for students and teachers. We will keep you informed of any changes to our academic schedule as CNG plans ahead for the last day of school to take place on Friday, June 12th.

We feel very fortunate that CNG has not received a single report on our internal system of a student or staff member who has contracted Covid-19. Please remember our joint commitment of reporting -- For flu-like symptoms:  Report Symptoms. For reporting medically tested and confirmed cases of Covid-19:  Report Tested and Confirmed Cases.

CREA: COMUNIDAD: CNG : De todas las habilidades del Siglo 21, nuestros estudiantes probablemente se beneficiarán más si desarrollan una mentalidad creativa y una imaginación bien refinada. Alineados con nuestra visión del colegio, nuestros estudiantes reciben una educación holística de cuerpo, mente, y carácter, no como fines en sí mismos sino como meta final para crear líderes motivados a trabajar para sus comunidades y nuestra sociedad.
 
En relación con este principio clave, Steve Jobs hace la siguiente distinción sobre el creador de diferencias más grande mientras consideramos la educación de nuestros hijos antes de que se hagan adultos: "La innovación distingue entre un líder y un seguidor." Mientras nosotros nos unimos esta semana para crear una comunidad con actividades creativas, por favor miren los resultados que están en el enlace y disfruten de la experiencia. Cuidando de nuestra comunidad: Dado el impacto que el Covid-19 causará en la situación económica del país y el resto del mundo, CNG continuará buscando maneras de apoyar nuestra comunidad de padres de familia. Es importante entender el impacto que el Covid-19 ha generado en la economía hasta ahora, el Comité Financiero de la Junta y la Administración han tomado los siguientes pasos para apoyar el proceso de pago para los padres de familia.
  • No se generarán intereses por mora correspondientes al último ciclo de facturación.
  • Se implementará el sistema de pago con tarjeta de crédito para que los padres puedan usar esa forma de pago en el momento de la matrícula. Esta opción de tarjeta de crédito estará disponible a partir del sábado 11 de abril.
  • Tenemos cuatro opciones de pagos con tarjetas de crédito : VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS y DINERS, y no habrá sobrecargo para el pago de este ciclo.
  • Por favor tome nota que para cargos posteriores con tarjeta de crédito, estos tendrán un recargo del 2.5%.

Extensión del Aprendizaje a Distancia por parte del Gobierno hasta el 31 de mayo: Basados en el último anuncio del Ministro de Educación y el Presiente, todos los colegios privados deben continuar ofreciendo aprendizaje a distancia hasta el finalizar mayo. En ese momento, revisaremos y evaluaremos la situación y cualquier requisito o requerimiento gubernamental. Continuamos con la esperanza y el plan de concluir en año escolar en el campus para realizar los eventos de fin de año como la graduación y las ceremonias de "Moving-Up",  así como para también dar un cierre para los estudiantes y los profesores. Les mantendremos informados de cualquier cambio en el calendario académicos mientras el CNG planea que el último día de colegio sea el día viernes, 12 de junio.
 
Nos sentimos muy afortunados de que el CNG no haya recibido hasta ahora en nuestro sistema interno, el reporte de algún estudiante o miembro del staff que haya contraído el Covid-19.
