Last night City Council approved a Use Agreement with Air Carriage Over Texas, LLC - a hot air balloon operator.
The commercial agreement is for the month-to-month use of the parking lot located in front of the Airport Management offices in exchange for a use fee.
A special NOTAM will be posted today to alert all users of the presence of hot air balloon operations in the vicinity of the airport at dawn every morning (weather permitting).

The operator anticipates launching two balloons each morning with a potential of a third balloon as demand increases. The balloon operator will be in communication with ATC or via CTAF prior to and during each launch.
