Effective as of 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 : In accordance with Miami-Dade County’s latest Emergency Order:

  • No person shall operate any shared moped device, scooter device, bicycle (motorized or not), or mobility device on any public street or sidewalk in Miami-Dade County. This includes all devices made available at public docking stations or through an online or application-based reservation system.
  • The use of personally-owned scooters, bicycles, and mopeds is not prohibited.
  • No person shall place any shared mobility devices on any public road or sidewalk in Miami-Dade County.

This order is placed into effect because these mobility devices, which are available at public docking stations, are not routinely cleaned between users, and may become vectors for the spread of COVID-19.

The City will be enforcing the County Mayor’s orders as they apply to all of Miami-Dade County.

The City of Coral Gables continues to monitor the development of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will be providing updates as needed.
