Tamales for Christmas Eve
We are excited and happy to carry on the tradition of the Tamale dinner on Christmas Eve. Since we as a church are not gathering in person to enjoy this meal in Covenant Hall, the tamales will be distributed using the Churches drive through on Thursday 12/24/2020, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.. This is a grab and go event, masks required during this pickup.

We ask that church members drive through to pick up individual dinners for their immediate family (on a first come, first serve basis). Each dinner will consist of either a chili cheese, chicken or pork tamale, and a serving of rice and beans. The food will be packaged in a clam shell to go container for your safety and convenience.

The tamales will be wrapped in dry wax paper and must be warmed in the microwave or steamed prior to consumption. Also, the beans and rice must also be heated.

No reservations are required.

Special Offering: Veterans of the Cross - UCC Retirees' Fund will be received December 27
This annual offering has been caring for active and retired clergy and lay employees of the United Church of Christ for over 100 years, providing emergency grants, supplementation of small annuities and health premiums, and Christmas “Thank You” gift checks each December to our lower-income retirees.

Over the past nine months, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the emergency financial needs of many who serve the church have increased dramatically. In such a time as this, the need for the retired clergy fund is more urgent than ever.

United Church of Christ congregations and members have blessed the fund with their generosity for many years. This year, our care and compassion will be especially appreciated by those servants of the church who are facing a time of need.

To make your donation to the Christmas fund, go to the Church's website, https://uccredlands.org. Click on "GIVE" in the red banner, log into your Realm account as directed. Use the pull down menu to go to Christmas Fund. You may also send a check to RUCC. Please put "Christmas Fund" in the memo line. Thank you for your generosity.
