IMPORTANT NOTICE

Family of Hope,

This letter is to notify you of the Special Congregational Meeting to be held on:

Sunday, December 17 at 12:00pm at Hope Central Campus.

During this important meeting, we will be voting on two key items:

  1. The Hope South Campus Building Project: Approve constructing the Worship Center Phase 1 and associated site development, with a projected cost not to exceed $7,850,000 and approve the $4,700,000 construction loan from the Mission Investment Fund of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
  2. The Annual Budget: Approve the 2024 Church Budget. There will be a Budget Information Meeting on Sunday, December 10 at 12:00pm at Hope Central Campus (read below for more information).

Why is this important? Hope’s Constitution Bylaws Continuing Resolutions places many authorities in the hands of the Congregation. The Constitution requires a quorum of five (5%) percent of confirmed voting members but never less than fifty (50) voting members for all Congregational Meetings. If we do not have enough members of Hope in attendance, we will not be able to hold a vote and will be without a church budget or approval on the construction of the Hope South Campus Worship Center as we move into 2024.

The vote will occur in person at Hope Central Campus and all eligible voting members will need to attend the meeting to vote. Voting by proxy or by absentee ballot is not permitted.

Voter Eligibility: A voting member is defined in the Constitution and is available for viewing at hope4all.church. Hope’s Constitution is also available on our webpage. If you are unsure of your voter eligibility status, contact the Hope office at (352) 750-2321.

This meeting is open for all to attend. However, it is extremely important that all members of Hope make every effort to attend this meeting.

Prior to the Special Congregational Meeting, there will be a Budget Information Meeting on the 2024 Church Budget on Sunday, December 10 at 12:00pm at Hope Central Campus. All are welcome to attend this meeting, as well. Copies of the budget summary will be available in the church office beginning Monday.

We look forward to seeing you on December 17 at 12:00pm at Hope Central Campus. Thank you for your support of Hope’s mission “to know Christ and to make Christ known!”
