Staying up to date with JPII
Catholic Schools Week!
Celebrating what makes us unique

Each year before Catholic Schools Week (CSW), teachers meet to come up with a fun schedule of events, themes, and free lunches that are a celebration of the unique aspects of John Paul II Center and our Catholic Identity. Three things help to form this identity: A faith-filled education, academic focus, and community.

Throughout the week, students explored the school's foundation through trips (like bowling at Berks Lanes), a special Mass, Job Skills Olympics, all-school music, and a StoryFaces performance.

By celebrating our Catholic foundation during CSW, we are acknowledging our faith, how important education is to our children, and how blessed we are to be part of our community.

See below for galleries from CSW.
Performing at the Highlands

At the careful guidance of Ms. Long, our music therapy teacher, our students recently put on a show for residents of the Highlands. Take a look:
CSW
A glimpse of our week-long celebration
All school music is a fun way for students to work on many skills, including social skills.
Who doesn't love bowling? Our outing to Berks Lanes saw some impressive scores!
Job Skills Olympics are a great way for our students to learn valuable life skills while having fun.
While not all of our students are Catholic, Mass allows individuals to explore their spirituality.
Telling Stories with Our Faces
On the final day of Catholic Schools Week, we were all happily entertained with a performance by StoryFaces. In this show, our faces were painted in order to bring stories to life!

We also said farewell and happy retirement to Denis, who became part of the show! So the full album by clicking the button and take a look at Dennis's acting in the sequence below.
JPII Night
At the Reading Royals
We teamed up with the Reading Royals to bring you John Paul II Center non-profit night on March 8 at 4:00 PM. The Reading Royals take on the Brampton Beast, and JPII will be dropping the puck and selling pendants on the concourse! Keep an eye on Facebook for ticketing info.
Adults Preparing
A lot of work goes into the Gala....

Even though the Gala is a couple months away, our Adult Program is hard at work preparing for the big night! While this is just a tiny glimpse behind the scenes, it takes an entire team of students, adults, staff, volunteers, and community members to make our Legacy Gala possible.
