Watermelon Pickers’ Fest attendees,
With the recent increase in COVID transmissions and safety concerns received from artists, patrons and staff, we are considering changes to our COVID policy and want to keep everyone informed.
We are sending out the below possible changes to our protocol so that everyone can plan ahead and be prepared to abide by the potential changes to policy, if they become necessary.
What we are considering:
-Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test for adults prior to entry
-Negative COVID Test for unvaccinated children prior to entry
-Mask restrictions in Concert and Kids Activities areas, Barns and Buildings
-Refunds up to date of show for patrons experiencing symptoms immediately before the event
What we are doing now:
-Requiring all staff and volunteers to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test
-Requiring all staff and volunteers wear a mask when performing duties that involve interaction with the patrons, staff or artists
-Limiting admissions to 50% of venue capacity
-Strongly encouraging face masks or coverings in the Concert and Kids activities area, Barns and Buildings
-Following CDC and Virginia state recommendations for public events
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our Watermelon Pickers’ Fest Family healthy and safe while also helping musicians continue to work. Keep an out for our Newsletter, Facebook page, Website and emails as we will be announcing our final COVID protocols in the coming weeks. We know this is not ideal and we hope we never have to do it this way again, but for this year please come prepared for these health and safety measures.
