Welcome to this month's edition of “Special Delivery”, the monthly newsletter from Miracle Babies! We are proud of our work, and it is important to share these accomplishments with supporters like you!
Impact
Last month's impact supporting families:
  • Transportation Assistance Program logged 11,361 miles and provided 273 rides to parents with hospitalized babies.
  • Delivered 200 care packages across the region. Care packages provide resources, care, and comfort items to parents.
  • My Brain & My Baby provides mental health support via telemedicine. Weekly groups are now offered in person or online Learn more

February is National Heart Month and February 7-14th is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week.

There is a personal connection for Dalton Motors Marketing Director Monica Salem, as she knows firsthand the fear and uncertainties parents with hospitalized babies experience. In honor of CHD Awareness, we are recognizing Monica's daughter, Izzy. Click on her picture to above and read her story.

Meet Miracle Baby Daniela! Baby Daniela was born on 8/6/22 at just 24 weeks weighing a tiny 1 pound and 11 ounces. We met Daniela's mom, Eva the day she was discharged from the hospital. Eva immediately began utilizing our free transportation service to be with her baby daily. Over the past five months, we have had fascinating and fun shuttle conversations and have celebrated holidays, birthdays, and special events with Eva. We are happy to share that after 166 days Daniela was discharged home in late January.

Happy Birthday to our Program Manager Lucy! Lucy has been involved with Miracle Babies since the birth of her Miracle Baby nine years ago. Lucy has been a program beneficiary, volunteer, and now program manager! To know LUCY is to love her!!! 🥰
She is mission-driven, dedicated, and committed to providing NICU parents with the unique support they need. And brings the FUN wherever she goes! 🎉

Thanks to our friends at GE Healthcare for gathering for a day of service to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The group assembled and delivered over 100 care packages to hospitals in Orange County and Los Angeles.
