EIGHT CANADIAN MUNICIPALITIES WIN NATIONAL AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE FROM CAMA
Banff, AB (June 5, 2024) – Eight Canadian municipalities have won national awards of excellence from the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA). The awards were presented in the areas of innovation, environmental leadership and sustainability, inspiring workplace, and collaboration during an Awards of Excellence Ceremony in Banff as part of the Annual Conference.
Winning efforts included a new wastewater treatment plant, a forestry services request project, a water loss reduction program, a reuse program, a “People First” employee program, a “People Plan” focused on creating an inclusive, collaborative, and positive workplace culture, a City Hall / affordable housing project, and a regional transit system.
“On behalf of the CAMA Board, I am pleased to recognize the excellence being showcased by municipal governments and their partners through this year’s award program,” said Tony Kulbisky, CAMA President, CAMA Representative for Alberta and CAO for Westlock County, AB. “The commitment to innovation, environmental leadership and sustainability, inspiring workplaces, and collaboration is truly inspiring.”
