Voting Open for 2022 CTPF Board of Trustees Elections

Voting in the CTPF Teacher and Principal/Administrator elections opened today, October 17, 2022, and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022. Voting credentials were mailed to members’ home addresses, and YesElections, the Fund’s election agent, sent emails with voting credentials to members with emails on file.    


All voting will be conducted online.

During the October 3, 2022, Election Committee meeting, four candidates were certified as candidates for the 2022 Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund Teacher Trustee Election (in alpha order).

Members who need assistance with the voting process, should contact YesElections at [email protected] or call (855) 925-2070. Support will be available to all participating voters throughout the duration of the election period. 

2023 Open Enrollment

The 2023 Open Enrollment Period will run from October 1-31, 2022. During this time, annuitants can enroll, add or drop a dependent, or change a health insurance plan or carrier. Changes become effective January 1, 2023.


The Board of Trustees voted to continue the 60% premium subsidy for 2023. 


Open Enrollment Education Week

CTPF hosted Open Enrollment Webinars and audio presentations to educate members about CTPF’s health insurance plans during the week of Oct. 3 - 7. Presentations and webinar recordings can be found at ctpf.org.


Medicare Open Enrollment: What Not To Do

Have you been overwhelmed with Medicare solicitations and want to learn the facts? Join CTPF’s Medicare Open Enrollment: What Not To Do webinar. There will be a Q&A session offered at the end of the webinar. Dates and registration information are posted at ctpf.org/calendar.

Fall Town Hall Webinar Recording Available

CTPF Executive Director Carlton W. Lenoir, Sr., hosted a Town Hall webinar for members on September 27, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. Topics included an end of the fiscal year financial update, 2022 Trustee Elections, and a review of important dates and information for 2023 Health Insurance Open Enrollment for retirees. The webinar recording is available at ctpf.org.

CTPF COVID-19 Information & Resources

The Fund continues to deliver all member services remotely. CTPF has implemented the following changes for the health and safety of all:

  • Phone assistance, video counseling, and remote notarization appointments are available. Members should call 312.641.4464 or email [email protected] for assistance.
  • US Mail processing may be delayed. Send benefit applications, forms, and documents by fax 312.641.7185 or email an attachment (.pdf or .jpg format) to [email protected] to ensure prompt processing.

New features have been added to the myCTPF Member Self-Service Portal. These updates offer an even more accessible and efficient myCTPF experience. 

  • Active members can now request an estimate of your CTPF retirement benefit (if you meet the eligibility requirements) and then view, download, and print when they are available. 
  • Active members, retirees, and survivors can view correspondence addresses through the portal.
  • myCTPF is now accessible to surviving spouses.
