The Sundance Award Ceremony took place this past weekend and it was another great year for Women Make Movies filmmakers!
  • Production Assistance Program supported film THE INFILTRATORS (dir. Cristina Ibarra, Alex Rivera, prod. Darren Dean) won the NEXT Audience Award and the NEXT Innovator Prize
  • WMM filmmaker Jessica Devaney was a producer on ALWAYS IN SEASON, which won a U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Moral Urgency
  • WMM filmmaker Rebecca Cammisa was an Executive Producer on SEA OF SHADOWS, which won the Audience Award for World Cinema Documentary
  • Production Assistance Program filmmaker Alma Har'el won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Vision and Craft for her film HONEY BOY
  • PA Program filmmaker Soudade Kaadan's AZIZA won the Short Film Grand Jury Prize

Women Make Movies' Executive Director Debra Zimmerman will take part in a panel on February 12 called Reframing Documentary Funding: Diverse Lenses in Focus which will examine the intersection of documentary funding and inclusive policy making.  The event is one of several Diversity and Inclusion events programmed at the DocSalon.
