Welcome to the first edition of our parent/guardian newsletter. You already receive information from your child's school regarding their education. The goal of this new communication tool is to provide you with district-wide information regarding special education services and programs. Our specialized education services department wants to personalize news

Our district provides a full continuum of special education and related services depending on each student's unique needs. Learn more about the roles of each of these unique team members HERE

Consider becoming a member of the Special Education Advisory Council  
Eastern Carver County School's Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) advises district administration on parent involvement, current issues, program development and department priorities. SEAC meets four times each year and is currently seeking new members. Learn more HERE.
Join us for a special Parent/Guardian education night - Jan. 18 
United for Independence is the topic of this year's annual event for families of learners who receive specialized education services. The event will be held at Chanhassen High School on Thurs., Jan. 18, 5:30 to 7:35 p.m. Click HERE for more information and to register. 
#Stigma180 - help reverse the stigma on mental health  
#Stigma180 is the name of an initiative aimed at  reversing the stigma surrounding mental health -"doing a 180." Parents/guardians are invited to learn more at several free seminars planned in our district in January through April. See a complete list HERE
