2026 CTSC Annual Pilot Award Program – Call for Applications

The CTSC Annual Pilot Award Program 2026 is now accepting Letters of Intent for innovative research projects that advance clinical and translational science across Northern Ohio. Up to eight awards of $50,000 each are available for projects running July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027. This competitive program supports proposals that bring together at least two CTSC partner institutions and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration to address urgent health questions and improve outcomes in our region.

Priority will be given to projects in areas such as translational science, multi-center collaborations, dissemination and implementation of research findings, rural health, artificial intelligence, and other emerging topics like gene editing, microbiome, and advances in medical imaging. Projects should be feasible within a 12-month timeframe and demonstrate a clear plan for impact, innovation, and team science. Early-stage investigators and community-engaged research efforts are especially encouraged.

Applicants are invited to register for the Annual Pilot Program Technical Webinar on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 12:00PM to 1:00PM (virtual via Zoom) to learn more about the program and application process. Read the full 2026 Annual Pilot RFA.
