Race course - from Lester and Cherry to Vine and Grant
The race shall be announced by rain clouds and confirmed on  the JP google groups, Facebook page, or Jefferson Park twitter account at j oanchall#jpnarubberduckrace
You don't have to brave the elements to participate.  We have 2 Race Coordinators who will be out in the pouring rain to watch the duckies race. Hopefully we will also have a couple of independent observers - contact Joan at  joanchall@yahoo.com  if you are interested in being a referee.

All ducks will be released at one time and their progress monitored by official duck monitors.  You are welcome to come out and cheer your duck along.

There will also be prizes for all duckies that end up in water harvesting basins along the Vine Av Green Corridor.

The home page features JP homes, new, old, and former.  Consider adding an image of your home (e-mail  jpg to jdchama@msn.com) .

Also consider supporting your neighbors who are working with the city on the Grant Road Coalition by adding your name to the Support Form on the Home Page.   A very special thanks goes out to Mike, our long time computer guru and to grandkid, Matt,  who helped with the latest design.  Also, many thanks to the JPNA members who contribute $15 a year that helps pay for the annual subscription.

The web-site is a work in progress, adding more as neighbors give their input.

Banner Health to Meet with Neighbors
Monday, July 20, 2015
6:15pm - 7:45 pm
Our Savior's Lutheran Church - Koch Chapel
1200 N. Campbell Ave
(one block north of Speedway Blvd)
In 2007,  a Transportation Enhancement grant was written by Jefferson Park and the contiguous neighborhoods. You will soon see some significant changes on Park Ave from Speedway to Ft Lowell.
Allowances will be made for bicycle and pedestrian pathways as well as water harvesting.
Project manager, Gary Wittwer, will present the plans and projected timing for the facelift. Decomposed granite pathways, water harvesting, sidewalks etc. are among the things planned. This enhancement will provide a part of the proposed Jefferson Park Health/History Bike Walk Loop.

Come hear about what is planned and perhaps stay after for the busi-ness meeting to hear the issues and projects being addressed by JPNA.
The Banner team will make a presentation on the proposed rezoning and the Planned Area Development (PAD) document.  There will be plenty of time and opportunity for questions. They have not yet formally submitted the rezoning application to the City of Tucson and they will not do so until after the above meeting and after they have heard neighborhood comments.

Banner also noted that due to the summer timing of the meeting, they will be planning another meeting in September for those who may be out of town for the July 20th meeting. If you can not attend the July 20th neighborhood meeting or have questions before the meeting you may contact Keri Silvyn at (520) 207-4464 or e-mail ksilvyn@lsblandlaw.com.

The Jefferson Park Green Committee
1) Will be planting more trees around the International School sometime in October.
2) Will be conducting a tree inventory in Jefferson Park for the Edible Urban Forest project.

To help with either or both of these projects e-mail Joan Hall at joanchall@yahoo.com.
