United Way of Lincoln County
2021 Virtual Annual Meeting
|
|
Welcome to the United Way of Lincoln County (UWLC) 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting! Each year the UWLC holds an Annual Meeting as a time to recognize and thank previous year's campaign donors, elect prospective UWLC board members, and discuss any business that is pertinent to the proceedings of the UWLC.
Due to social distancing and masking requirements due to COVID-19, the UWLC 2021 Annual Meeting will be held in a hybrid format with an in-person Awards Ceremony and a virtual voting and reporting component. This newsletter, in conjunction with the information available on the UWLC 2021 Annual Report webpage, will serve as the 2021 Annual Meeting for voting and reporting purposes. UWLC members are encouraged to review all information below and on the UWLC 2021 Annual Report webpage found here: https://www.unitedwayoflincolncounty.org/2020-2021-annual-report. The new 2021-2022 officers along with the new committee chairpersons are included below. There is a voting process included in the newsletter to allow for all members to cast their votes for the proposed new board members electronically. Members will need to vote on the NINE proposed board members using the voting platform below each of the NINE candidate by selecting YES or NO for poll. An applicable voting member is any individual who is a donor and contributing member to the UWLC. Voting will close at 5 PM on Monday, October 25.

Julie A. Byrne
Why would you like to become a United Way board member?
I have long had an interest in and thought I could be most helpful to my community by serving on a board. I have a warm, exuberant and helpful personality, combined with a CPA and solid financial and organizational skills. In deciding where to be helpful, as noted above, I’ve observed that if there is good happening, the UW is usually connected, so it seemed like the best place to start!

I vote for Julie A. Byrne to serve as a UWLC Board Member.

Lauren A. Heavner
Why would you like to become a United Way board member?
There are many reasons that I would like to join the United Way board. For starters, I love United Ways mission and vision. “An organized capacity of people to care for one another”. When I think about what that means to me, it is simply.. be a resource to others. In Lincoln County, I love the small town vibe and how everyone knows, everyone. I have enjoyed becoming a part of that small town and being able to connect with many different people that come from many different backgrounds across the county. I feel that because of that, I would be able to help link individuals to resources and build further relationships for United Way and individuals/businesses. I enjoy serving my community and making it a better place, as cliche as that sounds. I enjoy being able to bring new ideas to table, and I consider myself a very innovative and creative person. I believe that my outgoing personality, and go-getter attitude would be beneficial for the United Way board.

I vote for Lauren A. Heavner to serve as a UWLC Board Member.

Chrystal Hoyle
Why would you like to become a United Way board member?
I would like to serve to help improve the lives of others in our community. To give a voice to those that need it most, and help them become self-sufficient members in our community. I have always worked with non-profits and know the value of United Way funding. I believe in the fight for the education and health for everyone in our community, and feel that serving with United Way is the best way to meet these goals.

Jonnika N. Wilson
Why would you like to become a United Way board member?
The biggest factor of my interest in becoming a board member is seeing the financial impact that the Organization has had for existing programs in the community and state. I would like to share ideas to continue this path of success, seek additional companies to partner with United Way and organizations that can use the resources.
