3M® DBI-SALA® Self-Rescue Device

Holy moly safety folks, hang onto that hard hat because this little device is a beauty. This s elf-rescue device is a flexible unit that attaches to the user's current safety harness and allows that person to lower themselves safely in the event of a fall from height. This product was a contending entry for best In Show at NSC's Congress and Expo. Detailed information provided on their website or click the image to view the unit in action.

Latchways Leading Edge

Self-Retracting Lifeline MSA

Next time self-retracting lifelines at your facility need to be replaced, take a look at MSA's new leading edge unit. This SRL allows the user to tie-off at foot level while providing protection against sharp, abrasive edges (I'm thinking of container edges while working at heights). This product also placed Best in Show at the NSC's Congress and Expo. Detailed information provided through this link as well as their website.

HexArmor's Rig Lizard 2020

We all know lashers do some of the most labor-intensive work on the waterfront. They also sustain all types of bumps and bruises with cuts and scrapes to the hands. They work hard to drop and lash those containers. These gloves work hard to protect their hands. Each glove is equipped with a highly flexible IR-X® Impact Exoskeleton™, keeping hands protected from smash and pinch injuries. And even better, you can throw them in the wash. Additional information provided through this link as well as their website.

Chill-Its® 6665 Evaporative

Cooling Vest Ergodyne

I've always been a fan of Ergodyne products and this vest is no exception. This evaporative cooling vest is activated by soaking in cold water and provides cooling relief and comfort for four hours. Possibly an option for regular or steady workers during the squelching summer months. More information is available at their website.

TrustFit™ Pod Push-In

Earplugs Honeywell

This little ear plug is a big deal. D esigned with an ergonomic stem and dimpled foam tip, they are easy to fully insert and remove. So easy in fact my two-year-old son figured out how to put these in his ears with a few samples I brought home from the show. This design is great because there's no need to roll-down the ear plug into the ear. Check out more info and a video at their website .
