November 6, 2024

December 1 is the first Sunday in Advent, and there are several things happening at the church throughout the season. This special e-newsletter includes everything you need to know about Advent at Holy Trinity!

Let There Be Light: Advent Wreath Making Event

Dec. 1 | 4-5pm | Outside Courtyard | For families with kids of all ages!

Join us for a family-friendly Advent wreath making event on the first Sunday of Advent! We will walk through some of the symbolism of the Advent wreath during the assembly process. This is a beautiful and practical way for your family to cultivate anticipation during the Advent season. There will be paper wreaths available for the preschool age children so everyone can participate! We will sing a few songs and enjoy sweet treats at the end of our time together. Each family will receive an Advent take-home resource to use when lighting candles each week.

Lessons & Carols

Sunday, Dec. 15 | 5:30pm

Sunday, Dec. 22 | 9am & 11am

Lessons & Carols is a meaningful service for our church family! This service includes Scripture readings, favorite hymns, and beautiful choir performances.

This year, the Lessons & Carols service at 5:30pm will be on December 15. The Worship Team will lead those gathered in Christmas carols as well as contemporary Christmas songs. The more traditional Lessons & Carols services will be on the morning of December 22.

We hope you will join us as we prepare our hearts for Christmas by reflecting on the One who came to give his life for us.

Childcare in the Young Children’s Wing (0-5 years old) is only available during the 9am and 11am services on Dec. 22.

We're Assembling a Youth Choir for Lessons & Carols on December 22 at 9am and 11am

The Music Ministry Team would like to assemble a group of 4th-12th graders to sing a musical selection during our annual Lessons & Carols services on December 22!

Robin Harris will be this year’s director. She previously served as the Children's Director at Holy Trinity. There will be two required rehearsals (one hour each) in early December, but the exact days and times will be determined by the group's availability. Participation will be expected at both morning services (9am and 11am). Click the button below if you are interested in your child(ren) participating!

If you have questions, please email Paul Harris at pharris@htcraleigh.org.

The Generosity of God

We hope you will join us Sunday morning at 9am, 11am, or 5:30pm! We will be continuing the series, The Generosity of God. During this series we're exploring the most generous act in the history of the world: the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus on our behalf. Caleb Burr will lead us through both of the morning services. The scripture reading will be 2 Corinthians 8:16-9:5. During the evening service at 5:30pm, Jason Palacio will be preaching from the same series.

Community groups are small groups of Holy Trinity parishioners who gather consistently throughout the year and are living out the gospel together in grace. We do this by studying the Bible, caring for one another, praying for each other and serving the needs of our community in Jesus’ name.

Contact Jason Palacio or fill out this short form if you are interested in learning more.

If you have questions or need to reach the church office, please reach out to

Sarah Krivsky via email or call 919-833-4202, ext. 106.

If you need pastoral care or have a pastoral care emergency, please email pastoralcare@

htcraleigh.org.

We offer excellent child care, Bible lessons and time of worship for Holy Trinity’s youngest (ages 0-5) in our Young Children's Wing during the 9am and 11am services.

Trinity Kids, grades K-5, start their morning in the sanctuary with their families and then are invited, just prior to the sermon, to Kid’s Worship with a trained and vetted Kids’ Ministry leader.

Email Rachel Sanders or click here to learn more about our children's ministry.
