Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant
The
Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant
offers financial assistance to Alberta businesses, cooperatives, and non-profit organizations that faced restrictions or closures from public health orders, and experienced a revenue loss of at least 50% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible job creators can apply for up to $5,000 through this program.

CRA Deadline Changes
The CRA has advised that T2 Corporation Income Tax Returns and T3 Trust Income tax Returns that would have been due in June, July, or August are now due on September 1. For T2s and T3s, as previously announced, any income tax balance due on or after March 18 and before September 1 will also be due by September 1.

CECRA Extended
Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance (CECRA) will be
extended
by one month to cover eligible small business rents for July. In addition, to simplify the application process for all applicants, the government is removing the requirement to claw-back insurance proceeds and provincial rent supports from the CECRA forgivable loan amount for both existing and new applicants.

Border Travel Restrictions Remain in Place for July
Travel restrictions are still in place at all Canadian international border crossings and will remain in place until at least July 21. All travel of an optional or discretionary nature, including tourism, recreation and entertainment, is covered by these measures across all ports of entry in all modes of transportation: land, marine, air and rail
.

Canada Extends Mandatory Requirements Under the Quarantine Act for Anyone Entering Canada
The Government of Canada
extended
the Emergency Order requirements related to mandatory isolation and quarantine until August 31, 2020, for travellers entering Canada.
More Albertans can attend outdoor community events
The outdoor gathering limit has been
increased
from 100 to 200 people. The increase applies to attendees at community outdoor events such as festivals, fireworks displays, rodeos and sporting events, and outdoor performances.

Divine Spine of Airdrie is currently offering a limited time Virtual Ergonomic Assessment free of charge ($79 value), expiring on July 23rd end of day. It takes 3-5 minutes of your time in which you follow the emailed instructions to take specific photos of you sitting at your home/work computer/desk workstation. Once the photos are submitted via the encrypted and secure online health portal, Dr. Travis Cox and Riley Loucks, RMT will evaluate your ergonomics via a 3-D posture analysis software. After which they will schedule a time to review your results via Zoom with a personalized digital report including customized recommendations at improving your posture and work space ergonomics!
