Sanctuary to Close for Renovation at End of January
Jan. 27, 2019: Final Service in Sanctuary
Sat/Sun, Feb. 2/3: First Services in Parish Hall
The final worship service in the Sanctuary before we begin renovation will be Jan. 27, 2019. We will begin worshiping in the Parish Hall for the first of our regular Saturday services on Feb. 2. The first of three regular Sunday services will begin on Sunday, Feb. 3.
Here is the new Parish Hall worship schedule:

We will take February and March to remove everything inside the Sanctuary, including our failing organ, all pews, the pulpit and lecturn, and everything from inside the altar and flower guild rooms. We will also remove all the stained glass windows and reredos and crate them for safe storage during construction.
Formal construction is expected to begin about April 1 and take approximately 14 months.
Countdown to Sanctuary Close for Renovation is On:

Behind the Scenes Work to Prepare Parish Hall for Worship Under Way
A lot of planning and work has been required to prepare the Parish Hall for its use during our Sojourn Worship period. Below are a few photos showing just some of the work now underway:
  • Installation of heating, air conditioning, fans and other systems
  • Painting of interior spaces
  • Space planning for the altar/altar party, pulpit/lectern, cantor/singers, etc.
  • Acquisition of a digital keyboard and sound system
  • Purging and cleaning of the kitchen for use by the Altar Guild and Flower Guild
  • Moving items now stored in the Parish Hall to other locations on campus
  • Purchasing, unpacking of chairs we'll use during services
