Our Master of Ceremonies, Todd Meany!
Anchor & Reporter for Fox 8 News in the Morning
Todd Meany has been with Fox 8 News since November of 2000, and can be seen daily on Fox 8 News in the Morning. Todd grew up in Brook Park and now lives in Fairview Park with his wife, Joy, and their three sons.
Todd is a graduate of Midpark High School and Bowling Green State University. He also plays harmonica and sings with the Ace Molar band.
Over the years Todd has been able to cover historic and memorable events in Northeast Ohio, including Presidential visits, the rescue of the Seymour Ave survivors, and the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Championship.
Todd has been the master of ceremonies for the Up Side of Downs Sunburst Gala since 2018, helping the organization raise attendance and proceeds through his support. In 2018, the Gala sold out at 500 guests which initiated a location change to a larger venue for 2019. The 2019 Gala was attended by more than 800 guests and volunteers and showed an increase in proceeds for our programs. Todd sang the national anthem at the 2019 Buddy Walk and he has participated annually in previous walks. For Cleveland Down Syndrome Day 2019, at the Cleveland City Council meeting, USOD named Todd as one of their honorees.
The Up Side of Downs is so honored to have him return as Master of Ceremonies for our upcoming 2020 Sunburst Gala. We truly appreciate his unconditional support to our organization!
