World Trade Center St. Louis 2023 Highlights

Metro Business and Civic Leaders Head to London to Pitch St. Louis on the Global Stage


A delegation of St. Louis business and civic leaders will travel to London next week to pitch global business investment in the St. Louis metro. The trip will coincide with the Cardinals’ series against the Chicago Cubs.


The delegation is being led by Greater St. Louis, Inc., Explore St. Louis, and the World Trade Center St. Louis (the international division of SLEDP), groups that were also part of the collaborative effort to bring to St. Louis the first nonstop flight to continental Europe in over 20 years on Lufthansa. That flight recently celebrated its first anniversary. Read more here.

STL Partnership Wins Silver Award for Business Retention and Expansion Excellence


The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) proudly announces its recent recognition at the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas, Sept. 17-20, 2023. The IEDC, the world’s largest organization for economic developers, awarded STL Partnership and its partners the Silver Award for Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) excellence.


“This remarkable achievement exemplifies the benefits of a proactive and coordinated BRE strategy,” said CEO and President of STL Partnership, Rodney Crim.

Growing Global 2023:

Sports – Championing St. Louis’ Growth

Leaders of all three major sports teams came together in one room to talk about the St. Louis region’s story and share it with the world. First Alert 4 talked with the leaders of the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues and CITY SC on Wednesday.


World Trade Center St. Louis pulled the owners of the three major professional sports organizations in the city into the same space to discuss the global impact their teams have in promoting St. Louis around the world.

St. Louis Sister Cities in Tower Grove Park for the International Institute's Festival of Nations


The World Trade Center St. Louis Sister Cities committee members came together to staff a booth at the International Institute's Festival of Nations from August 25-26 this year. Special thanks to the dedicated team of volunteers and staff, who worked to showcase the organization at a packed Festival of Nations event.

St. Louis Collaborators Launch CULTIVAR STL


Initiative aims to strengthen partnerships with

Latin America to produce healthier and more sustainable food for people and the planet.


Cultivating nearly six years of relationship building with organizations in Latin America working in the agri-food tech space, the St. Louis region is launching Cultivar STL, an initiative to strengthen and sustain partnerships that will contribute to economic growth in St. Louis and abroad and positively impact food security in the Americas as well as globally.


“Competing on a global scale requires a unified approach to leverage resources, existing and emerging strengths, and all-important international relationships,” said Tim Nowak, executive director, World Trade Center St. Louis.

St. Louis Mosaic Project Celebrates Its 10-Year Anniversary


The St. Louis Mosaic Project celebrated its 10th year of work toward its goal of transforming St. Louis into the fastest-growing major metropolitan area for immigration by 2025. The celebration included Hindustani music, remarks from Mayor Tishaura O. Jones, David Kemper of Commerce Bank and Kathy Osborn of the Regional Business Council and an inspiring discussion by some of the founding members of the Mosaic Project, who talked about their original vision, accomplishments and strategic plans for the future.
