All people should have the right to live in peace and to raise their families without the threat of war. The unprecedented and unprovoked attack on the people of Israel is shocking and tragic. The taking of women and children as hostages is terrorism and must not be tolerated.
I deplore the attack against the people of Israel and any acts of antisemitism anywhere in the world. I am heartbroken over the loss of lives, the destruction and the fear of the people in the Middle East. I stand with the people of Israel and support their right to defend themselves.
