High School Special Education Case Managers

The High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) is a mandatory graduation requirement and a tool that supports students exploring their interests. This guidance presentation will help case managers when working with school teams on HSBPs for students receiving special education services.

For Safety Net students (students who receive 1:1 supports) the HSBP is a part of the OSPI safety net application—which is mandatory. Please contact safety net coordinator Lisa Young if you have a high school safety student and you need support with this work.

IEPOnline Updates

-A new translation feature gives users the ability to translate IEPO documents seamlessly. More

-Electronic signature collection is now available for documents in GT, eligibility, and plan records where signatures are required. More

Progress Reporting Guidance

All students receiving special education services must have progress reports completed during the appropriate timeframe.

Progress reports must contain sufficient information so that a parent or guardian is fully informed of their student’s progress on measurable goals.

Please review the progress report guide when developing progress reports.
