The Michigan State University School of Music and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing are excited to announce a special grant workshop. This workshop is designed especially for arts and cultural organizations interested in seeking funding through the National Endowment for the Arts Grant Programs.


This free workshop will feature NEA Jazz Specialist Xavier D. Boudreaux who will give an informational session for organizations considering application to the Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) opportunity. The session will provide an overview of GAP and share details about its guidelines, deadlines and processes and will include a Q&A session as well an opportunity for one-to-one consultations.

Meet your presenter

Xavier D. Boudreaux is a dedicated arts professional. He holds a bachelor of arts in music from Michigan State University, a master of music performance from Syracuse University and a master of arts in arts management from American University.


He was one of the inaugural American University Fellows in arts management with the Kennedy Center education division, which led to a permanent position with the music education team. He now serves as the jazz [Grants] specialist for the National Endowment for the Arts, where he manages a portion of the music grants focused injazz, world music, and other non-classical musical genres.
