  Touching All The Senses

September 2016
Hello from the President,

Change means something different to everyone. Some look at change with anxiety or fear. Personally, change represents growth and new beginnings. Why you may ask is she talking about change?

This is the last newsletter I will be writing as I am stepping down as President. I have served as President since the beginning of Special Haven. I have seen how the vision of some can become a reality and make a difference in the lives of many.

Special Haven has become and is a reality because of the selfless devotion of the volunteers, my fellow Board members and all of you who work very hard to make it so. I am so very grateful for every one of these people who give countless hours away from their families and generous donations to support this much needed service.

As I leave this wonderful organization, I ask you all to continue to support Special Haven. Special Haven continues to exist solely on your generous donations and the money our fundraisers are able to generate. Our main fundraisers are coming up in the next few weeks. The Special Haven Poker Tournament and our Annual Golf Tournament. If you haven't already done so, please click on one of the following links to register to join us.

Three Essential Documents for Parents
by: Aaron Feldman
If your child has special needs, a standard estate plan -- will, trust, power of attorney, and health care proxy -- may not be adequate for your family. If your child will not be able to support herself or live independently as an adult, you need to make special provision for her in your estate plan. Here are three must-have documents:
