Sunday, May 12, 9:15 a.m. during worship, the Westminster Chorale and our congregation will “raise the roof” with spirited singing of beloved hymns.

  • Kids' Worship  During worship, children in grades K-7 are invited to be escorted to the Chapel for our Kids’ Worship service. They will meet up with their parents after the service in The Commons. PK students are invited to play in the nursery.

Calling All Westminster Artists...
Westminster's Visual Arts Committee is planning a fall art exhibit. All Westminster artists are invited to participate. The theme of this exhibit is “God’s Grand Design: Diverse Yet One in the Spirit.”
New Gallery Exhibit
Works of art by Justin Young are now on display in the Westminster Gallery through the month of May. Visit the Gallery on the lower level of the church near the Franklin entrance any time the church building is open.
VBS Volunteers Needed!

Refugee Garden Work Evening

Pride Parade Walkers
You are invited to walk in the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 9. The parade begins at the State Capitol building and travels downhill on Grand Avenue to East First Street.

Group Information
Westminster is a fairly large church with nearly 1100 members. Small groups help bring the church down to a manageable size. We have numerous groups that bring together folks with similar interests.

Pizza Lovers' Group meets the second Tuesday of the month. Their next meeting is May 14, at 5:15 p.m., at Godfather's on University, in Des Moines. All are invited to join!
Presbyterian Women:   Eve Circle   will meet Tuesday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m. in Simmerman Lounge.
Stitchin' Time   will meet on Thursday, May 23, at 1:00 p.m. in the Hope Alcove. Bring your current project and come to chat and stitch, knit, crochet, etc. 
Afternoon Bridge  will meet Thursday, May 23, at 1:00 p.m. in Simmerman Lounge. Call the church office at 274-1534 if you'd like to join in!
Book Club meets the first Wednesday of the month. Their next meeting is June 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Simmerman Lounge. They will discuss "Last Bus to Wisdom." Learn more here.
Men's Group the group has begun its summer weekly schedule, meeting every Wednesday morning, 6:30 a.m. at the Waveland Cafe.
Men’s Basketball meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in The Commons.
Restaurant Group 1 meets the first Saturday of the month. Their next gathering is being planned.
Restaurant Group 2 usually meets the third Saturday of the month their next gathering is being planned.
