Letter from Fr Joseph Meagher:

Dear brothers & sisters in Christ

This past Thursday, January 13, Gov. Phil Murphy signed into law in NJ the infamous Freedom of Reproductive Choice Act (A6260/S49). This is one of most vile and humanly degrading pro-abortion laws in the world.
As Marie Tasy, executive director of New Jersey Right to Life, has rightly stated: "This law... signed a death warrant for thousands of innocent children.”

We see the imperative of proclaiming of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is Author of Life and the only One who has authority over life and death. The timeless words of John the Baptist and Jesus alike call us to repent and believe in the gospel.

In connection with this, please listen below to a 5-minute teaching by Fr Chris Alar, MIC, wherein he affirms that Jesus gave us the gift of Chaplet of Divine Mercy to be the remedy for the scourge of abortion.

Secondly, listen also to a brief presentation by Peter Herbert of Renewal Ministries, who reminds us not to lose heart, but to keep our fixed eyes on Jesus, because what we are seeing is the "unmasking of devil". Peter Herbeck's words are truly prophetic and incredibly relevant to properly understanding what is going on in this time.

Below is also a presentation I gave at the prayer meeting this past Wednesday on the spiritual implications of this time. Please watch below. (But please continue to read the rest of my letter following the video)
Last but not least, I would like to present Obianuju Ekeocha, a Nigerian Catholic pro-life leader, who brings us to the most fundamental issue of why we choose life and family. Below are 2 short videos. This set of videos, in fact, is the highlight and climax of this letter. Please listen to Obianuju Ekeocha.

May the Father, the Creator and Author of Life; the Son, who divinely entered our humanity as a baby in the womb; and the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies all life, bless you.

In Jesus, thru Mary & St Joseph,
Fr. Joseph

"Did Jesus Give the Chaplet of Divine Mercy to Stop Abortion?" (6 mins)

Hear Fr. Chris Alar explain how St. Faustina and her confessor both said that the Chaplet of Divine Mercy was given by Jesus to stop the sin of abortion.
Peter Herbeck : "Time to Lay It Down."
Watch. Why is the devil being unmasked?
Part 2:
March for Life 2022
St Antoninus is hoping to participate in the 49th March for Life scheduled next Friday, January 21 in Washington DC. This rally is the world's largest pro-life event. The theme for this year is “Equality Begins in the Womb.” Our plans for in -person participation at the rally are currently still tentative- only because we were not able to get a bus with a permit for the rally. We are still looking into different transportation options.
In the meantime, in the event that we are not able to go Washington DC, here is Plan B: A day of Eucharistic Vigil of Reparation at St Antoninus. We will update you soon with more information.
What is the March for Life all about?

From the National Catholic Register

“The pro-life movement recognizes the immense responsibility this nation bears to restore equal rights to its most defenseless citizens in the womb,” March for Life president Jeanne Mancini said at the Wednesday press conference.

The 49th annual March for Life will be held on Friday, Jan, 21, 2022, in Washington, D.C. According to organizers, it is the world’s largest annual human rights demonstration.

“Since Roe v. Wade (when abortion was legalized), scientific advances have undeniably confirmed the humanity of the unborn, and today most Americans agree there should be significant limits on abortion,” Mancini said.

From the website : https://marchforlife.org

The right to life is a human right. Our defense of that right is a joyful witness to the beauty and dignity of every human person.

The March for Life is an inspiring, peaceful, vibrant, and joy-filled rally of women, men, young people, and children from all across the country. Every year, tens of thousands of pro-lifers converge on the National Mall and march on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling which legalized abortion in all 50 states. It’s the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world. But this is not just a protest… TOGETHER, WE GATHER TO CELEBRATE LIFE. We celebrate each and every life, from the moment of conception. We envision a world w
here every life is celebrated, valued, and protected.
