Promote, strengthen and support individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers

AUGUST 2019
Today, Sunday July 28th is National Parents Day! It was established in 1994 when President Bill Clinton signed a Congressional Resolution into law for "recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children". Through your dedication and unwavering commitment, you show the meaning of true love for your child! Everyone at Special Kids Special Families wishes every parent, especially those raising a loved one with special needs and disabilities, a Happy Parents Day as we recognize that this is the hardest and most rewarding job on the planet!
 Have a wonderful day! 😁

RESPITE HOME/FAMILIES FOR YOUTH & TEENS NEEDED!
If you believe that your gifts and talents rest in helping others, then our respite program may be for you. We have a need for caregivers who are willing to be trained, who can work with youth and teens. Respite care means giving a family a break, or giving an adult a chance to regroup and reassess their personal lives. The break is provided by you, either in your home, or in the individual’s home. Our respite opportunities are varied, and we would work with you to determine what program(s) best work for you. Compensation is available. The background of the individuals in need may be a physical or developmental disability, social and emotional challenges, and they may be in need of a time away from an escalating situation.
If you can make a donation of any of these items, please drop off at our Admin offices anytime Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm at
1915 Aerotech Drive, Colorado Springs.
