Promote, strengthen and support individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers

JULY 2019
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Special Kids Special Families had a great time being in the Charity Spotlight during the opening weekend at the newly named UCHealth Park. Baseball fans came out to support The Rocky Mountain Vibes play against the Grand Junction Rockies. A huge shout out to  Team Select Home Care for inviting SKSF Zach's Place Director, Dianna Manz and one of our Zach’s Place families to the Banquet Hall for a buffet lunch. The kids were able to play in the kids zone and had such fun!

Thanks to everyone that stopped by the table to learn about Special Kids Special Families programs and the great work we do in the community to support individuals with disabilities.

The Koscove Kids were guests at the Ivy Child Development Center at Fort Carson! SKSF staff presented the puppets to pre-school aged children in their summer program. Puppets: Sally (Cerebral Palsy), Corey (Down Syndrome) & Carmen (Bi-Polar Disorder) taught the kids inclusion and disability awareness.

Coming all the way from Missouri, this group of volunteers from  Jacob's Well Church  did a great job at Joey's Place helping prep the outside garden plus washed windows and sanitized rooms. The Zach's Place group played with the kids and cleaned/sanitized the center. We appreciate their hard work and hope they enjoyed the sunny Colorado days!!
The volunteers from  Woodmen Valley Chapel  came out to Zach's Place and helped the kiddos with activities, swept the large parking lot, and did lots of needed yard work! WOW - what a fantastic group of young people - thanks for all your hard work and for sprucing up Zach's Place - it looks great!!
All the way from TEXAS! Thanks to the many volunteers at  First Baptist Church Lewisville  for taking the time to interact with our youth at Zach's Place and help them make thank you cards. We thank you for your time and reaching out to help!
