Hello Dharma Friends -
We are seeking an experienced and joyful cook for our upcoming retreat with Drupon Rinchen Dorjee, October 17-19, 2026. The retreat cook will prepare three meals per day for the lama, and will be responsible for creating menus and shopping. All food expenses will be directly paid or reimbursed by DDCV. Ideally, the cook will arrive sometime on Thursday, October 15th in order to shop and prepare. The first meal served to the lama will be lunch on Friday, October 16th.
Preparing food for the lama is a very special opportunity to earn merit, and to connect with a remarkable teacher in a relaxed, family-like setting. This work study position includes full scholarship to attend the retreat, and local housing at no cost. The retreat schedule allows ample time for the cook to attend all teaching sessions.
