Nor-West 50th Anniversary Celebration
Nor-West celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 7th with a lovely gala at Traveler's Rest. Friends and family of the organization attended the event, and everyone was thrilled to commemorate five decades of serving the community.
The celebration of Nor-West's 50th anniversary was a special occasion filled with love and appreciation for many deserving individuals. Chris Morabito, who served as the Nor-West director for 26 years, was the guest of honor. His remarkable leadership has set the standard for quality care and will have a lasting impact on the agency.
At the event, Nor-West honored eleven participants who had attended for 25 years. They were inducted into the Nor-West Hall of Fame, which was a very special honor.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to three individuals who had been with Nor-West since its early days. Lisa Forbes and Diane Warnke joined Nor-West in 1975, while Howard Bloom has been the longest-serving participant since the organization's founding in 1973. Howard was awarded a special proclamation from the City of Peekskill, acknowledging and honoring his achievement. Congratulations to Howard on his well-deserved recognition!
The evening was unforgettable, reminding us of Nor-West's incredible impact on so many lives. As we look to the future, we are excited to continue our mission of serving the Nor-West community for many more years to come. We are grateful to everyone who shared this special evening with us.
