Final Service Drives / Tunnel Traffic Shift, November 8th

Service Drives from Air Rights Parking Garage to Intersection with Orange Street

There will be work being performed overnight on the Service Drives from 9 p.m. Tuesday November 7th until 6 a.m. on Wednesday November 8th.

During these work hours, the Contractor will be completing the installation of signage, line striping, and other roadway improvements. Please reduce speeds and follow posted construction signs.

Beginning Wednesday November 8th at 6 a.m. a significant change will occur on the Services Drives that provide access between Interstate 91 & 95 and the Air Rights & 100 College parking garages.

The North Service Drive will be made open for one-way inbound traffic.

The South Service Drive will be opened to one-way outbound traffic.

Refer to traffic signage and line striping which will guide drivers to which lanes to utilize for your destination.

Please see immediately below for a graphic depicting Service Drives traffic movements.

South Frontage Road - from York Street to College Street

Two lanes of South Frontage Road, near the intersection of College Street, will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. on Sunday November 12th until 6 a.m. on Monday November 13th to allow for the safe operation of a crane for work on the Yale School of Public Health.

During these work hours, the sidewalk will be closed and one driving lane will remain open. On-road signage will guide pedestrians through a simple detour around the closed sidewalk. On-road signage will provide drivers advanced notice of lane closures.

ONGOING TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

Aside from the Sunday night lane closures and Service Drives traffic shift noted above, no significant changes to the existing traffic patterns are anticipated to occur over the next week.

Various single and double lane closures will continue to occur to accommodate construction; they are listed in more detail immediately below.
