Welcome To Our New Pastors

Rev. Bill Pfohl

Rev. Crystal Paul-Watson

Rev. Carlos Figueroa

Hello sal,

The NYAC has appointed a team of three Pastors to lead the Greater White Plains Cooperative of which we are a member. A Cooperative Parish in The United Methodist Church is a structure that allows multiple congregations, especially smaller ones, to combine resources and efforts for mission and ministry. It fosters collaboration and coordination between churches within a defined geographic area, promoting shared programs and ministry initiatives. The Ministry Team will be leading the churches in this cooperative.

This email is to introduce you to our team of ministers. Feel free to welcome them to our church when you meet them over the next few weeks or to send them a personal welcome via the email listed at the end of each bio.

These welcome notices will be sent one per day over the next three days. Today we introduce:

Pastor Carlos Figueroa

Hi! My full name is Carlos Ruben Figueroa Colombani. I was born in Portsmouth, VA while my father was stationed at Virginia Beach, but we soon moved back to our native Puerto Rico where I lived for the

next 25 years of my life.

I am and have been many things in my life: a family man, an educator, a

linguist, and a pastor, but hopefully I will be known as a man who loved

God and his neighbor. In pursuit of this endeavor I obtained a BA in

Elementary Education from the University of Puerto Rico, completed a year

of abroad education at the Public University of Pamplona, finished 1.5

units of hospital chaplaincy, and an MDiv from Drew University that

included an exchange program at Union Theological Seminary.

At this time I have been pastoring upwards of 15 years throughout

churches in Long Island, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley. I have held

many positions throughout my faith walk. I have served as mission

coordinator, in nominations, chair of interfaith councils, board member

of not-for-profits, church secretary, church sexton, UMM coordinator, and

more.

I am passionate about the transformative power of a Bible study. I love

building genuine connections with people, and collaborating in projects.

On a personal level I enjoy playing video games, reading, travelling.

consuming vast amounts of coffee and the too-often late-night ice cream

run with my wife of 14 years, Adriana.

Send Pastor Carlos a personal welcome to
