Dear Mark,
Please be aware that the GCA’s Road Maintenance Contractor, SL Williamson will be working on the Darby west road system beginning April 27th through May 6th.
This work will be executed in a phased approach to minimize disruption to the community. Initially the work will be to mill tie-in joints at the driveways, followed by placing an asphalt overlay on the road way. The asphalt will be applied on one side of the road at a time, as to allow for traffic flow. Each completed roadway will require an additional 24 hours to allow the asphalt to cure following placement. Individual residents will be able to drive on the newly applied asphalt, however, heavy vehicles, such as trucks with trailers, will be restricted.
Please ask your service providers to stay away during the time that your street is being serviced. If this is not possible, they may be asked to park away from your street. If this is the case, please remind them to not park on the grass. SL Williamson will have flaggers present and will assist with any necessary traffic control.
