The Security Committee, the Board of Directors and our vendor Securitas is aware that the Resident's Gate is not working.
This is what is known and actions that have been taken:
- Gate began malfunctioning a week ago Friday.

Gatehouse staff attempted to identify and resolve issue by themselves with only temporary and intermittent success.
- Supervisor contacted system provider on Saturday.
- All attempts to remedy the problem via a software fix were an intermittent success and as Residents Gate function remained problematic, gatehouse staff continued to direct traffic flow through Visitor Gate.
- The vendor providing the mechanical maintenance of gate was contacted Wednesday morning and we were informed first available date for repair was today, Friday, January 20.
- At this time, the cause of malfunction - hardware, software or both - has not been determined.

Although the Residents Gate is not functioning, system cameras continue to record, via license plates recognition, all traffic entering and exiting the community.
- A crew to repair the gate itself is expected to arrive at 4:30 today.
Going forward we will change operational protocols to insure a more rapid response on gate function issues.
