Security Alert

All Residents

Recently there was an incident involving a Glenmore homeowners car being stolen. The thief walked into their unlocked home early in the morning, took the car keys, and then left with their car. Fortunately the car was recovered.

We are asking residents to please be aware and make sure your home and car doors are locked especially at night and into the early morning hours. Additionally, to deter thieves it is helpful to have motion detector lights or to leave your porch and post lights on.

Gatehouse Security is cooperating with the Albemarle County Police Investigation. Please do NOT call the gatehouse as our Security staff cannot comment on the investigation.

If there is an incident

  • DO call the police to report the incident or 911 if it is an emergency.

  • DO NOT CALL the gatehouse until AFTER you have called the police, and only to alert them to the situation, (Gatehouse officers are not engaged by GCA to investigate or respond to crimes. The Gatehouse Officers are relegated to gatehouse duties only).

  • DO alert Associa, the GCA managing company.
