24h Blue Mountain Success! | |
The 6th Annual 24H Blue MTN event was again a big success, with over 200 participants skiing around the clock to raise money for Special Olympics Ontario and the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation. Along with lively fun in the beautiful Blue Mountain Village, great fun was had by all! | |

Bundle up for another busy month as the Polar Plunge season continues! We have had 23 plunges across the province and 9 more to go! Help us reach our fundraising goal of $750,000! We are inviting all athletes, volunteers, and community members to come out and get #FreezinForAReason!

We are excited to announce the District Training Teams for the upcoming 2024 Provincial Spring Games! These Provincial Games will be hosted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service from May 23-26, 2024.
Of the over 700 athletes set to compete, almost 500 were training for the 2020 Provincial Spring Games that were cancelled due to the pandemic, finally they are getting their chance to shine! These athletes and coaches will be training hard over the next seven months to compete in five diverse and exciting sports: basketball, powerlifting, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, and 10-pin bowling. These Games are the pinnacle of competition for Special Olympics athletes in Ontario and a celebration of their incredible abilities.

2024 Waterloo Region Spring Games – GTA Spotlight | |
The General Toronto Area is bringing a strong contingent to the 2024 Waterloo Region Provincial Spring Games, with 133 athletes and 38 coaches all set to participate! The lineup includes 11 athletes showcasing their skills in 10 Pin Bowling, 67 hitting the courts for Basketball, 4 showing off their strength in Powerlifting, 17 demonstrating their rhythmic prowess, and 34 making waves in Swimming! 2024 Provincial School Championships | |
The City of Chatham-Kent and the Chatham-Kent Police Service are proud to be hosting the 2024 Provincial School Championships. During the 2023/2024 academic year, over 7,000 high school athletes will compete across the province in an effort to qualify for the 2024 School Championships. School Programs instill confidence, contribute to a healthier lifestyle, build lifelong friendships and create a more inclusive society.
From June 10-12, the 2024 School Championships will welcome athletes from across Ontario to Chatham-Kent. They will be joined by their coaches and cheered on in person and at home by their families and friends!
