Special Pre-Conference Session Added

Wednesday, April 23 | 10:00 - 11:30 am

Canandaigua Room, Hotel Canandaigua

Registration is FREE - seating is limited, register now to reserve your seat.

The Canadian travel market has long been vital to New York State tourism—but with economic fluctuations, political sensitivities, and shifting traveler sentiment, how is this key international audience responding in 2025? Oh Canada! Staying in Tune with Our Neighbors to the North is planned as an open-discussion, pre-Conference session. James Sauter and Sally Donovan from Rove will lead you through timely insights on Canadian sentiment and its impact on New York's tourism economy. You’ll explore national travel data, headlines from Canada, and the latest cross-border figures all with an open floor for you to share ideas, experiences and solutions.

Share your thoughts in advance! Email Sally your thoughts/opinions regarding these questions prior to April 22:

  • Are you seeing a decline in Canadian bookings for 2025?
  • What marketing strategies are you developing to attract or retain Canadian visitors?
  • Are you pivoting toward domestic markets to offset potential losses?
  • How are you addressing political sensitivities in your messaging?
