• Students will attend all classes each day, periods 1-8, in order. Wednesdays will be a full-day of in-person instruction starting on April 14. Remote learners will continue to login to classes on Wednesdays.

• York High School will not implement late start Wednesdays in an effort to provide students with a consistent schedule for the remainder of the school year and to maximize instructional time.

• Students will have access to enter the building through the main academic entrance and Campbell gym entrance in the front of the school or through the entrance in the back of the school on Elm Park Ave.

• In-person students should arrive to school on-time and be present in 1st period class by 7:40AM.

• Remote learners should login prior to 7:40AM so that instructional time can be maximized. For all other classes, remote learners should login to classes a few minutes before class starts.

• Students may be dropped off in the circle drive or in the back of the school on Elm Park.

• Our students have done an amazing job following safety procedures and protocols during the school day. Hallway and classroom safety procedures will remain the same.

• We ask that students follow the arrows in the hallways and not congregate in the hallways between passing periods to alleviate hallway congestion.
• 
  
• Student-athletes will be granted access to the locker rooms after school. Once again it is important that our student-athletes maintain 6-feet social distancing as much as possible in the locker rooms. See Athletics update below for more information.

• Students will eat lunch in either the cafeteria, commons, or the fieldhouse. Per IDPH guidelines, students will be seated 6-feet apart while facing in the same direction.

• Students will be assigned a lunch location by grade level.
• Freshmen will be assigned to the cafeteria
• Sophomores will be assigned to the commons
• Juniors and Seniors will be assigned to the fieldhouse

• Students will have the choice on where they wish to sit and eat lunch in their designated locations, however, we ask that students sit in the same seat each day for contact tracing purposes.

• Outside food cannot be purchased or delivered.
• 
  
• Boxed lunches will be available to students who do not bring lunch from home.
• 
  
• All lunch areas will be sprayed and disinfected between lunch periods to ensure a safe environment for all students.
• 
  
• We must maintain a clean environment and students are expected wipe their eating area down and throw away all garbage after eating.
• 
  
• Weather permitting, students will be able to sit outside and eat lunch in designated locations in the front of the school.
• 
  
• Students will have access to academic support during the lunch periods. Students may access the math lab, learning commons, or music locker area during lunch. Be advised that food will not be permitted in these areas.

• All seniors will be eligible for off-campus lunch with parent permission. Parents must complete the permission form found by clicking HERE. Please complete this form by Friday, April 9, 2021, if you wish to grant your senior permission to leave campus during their assigned lunch period.

• Seniors who have been granted off-campus lunch permission will be issued an new ID. Seniors can pick up new off-campus lunch ID's in the commons during their assigned lunch period this week and in the YSS office next week.

• Off-campus lunch students can leave and enter the building through the main entrance, athletics, the back door (Elm Park Ave.) or by La Brigade.

• Seniors will have access to the senior courtyard during all lunch periods.
